This tool is capable of checking pressure only, not vacuum.
Do you suspect an air leak may be causing your saw to run lean? Use this tool by hooking it up to the impulse nipple on the cylinder or crankcase on your chainsaw. Then seal off the muffler port and intake manifold and pressurize the crankcase. It should hold the same pressure for several minutes without leaking down.
